IVEF Recommendation

The IALA VTS council RECOMMENDS that National Members and other appropriate Authorities and Entities, introducing an IVEF Service into their shore infrastructure, take into account the principles as set out in the Guidelines on the Inter-VTS Exchange Format (IVEF) Service (IALA Recommendation V-145).

IVEF Data Definition

The data definition is laid down in the XML schema XSD. The current version of the XSD is 0.2.5. The XSD can be browsed here.

IVEF software implementation

Version 0.2.5 of the XSD is included in all the 1.0.x versions of the IVEF-SDK. The SDK provides a framework to generate source code from the XSD. It also contains examples and test applications.
