{"id":8,"date":"2012-08-24T17:29:31","date_gmt":"2012-08-24T15:29:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/openivef.org\/?page_id=8"},"modified":"2019-10-26T09:19:23","modified_gmt":"2019-10-26T07:19:23","slug":"vts-data-exchange","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/openivef.org\/","title":{"rendered":"VTS Data Exchange"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/openivef.org\/?attachment_id=9\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-9\" title=\"openivef_puzzle\" src=\"http:\/\/openivef.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/openivef_puzzle.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"231\" height=\"373\" srcset=\"https:\/\/openivef.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/openivef_puzzle.png 231w, https:\/\/openivef.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/openivef_puzzle-185x300.png 185w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 231px) 100vw, 231px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The open Inter VTS Exchange Format\u00a0(IVEF) is the result of a standardization effort for the exchange of information between maritime control centres (VTS) and was defined by\u00a0<a title=\"Contributers\" href=\"http:\/\/openivef.org\/?page_id=58\">a large\u00a0group\u00a0of industrial members of IALA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div>Since its origin, IVEF has been applied to many applications in the maritime domain: to share valid traffic image, to share plan information, for simulation purposes, etc. Its flexibility allows for customization where required.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>T<span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">he purpose of\u00a0IVEF Software Development Kit (SDK) project is to provide potential users of the IVEF format with software tools to facilitate rapid development of software that interprets IVEF data.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">This information consists of real-time tracking positions, static vessel information and voyage related information (or a subset thereof).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The IVEF SDK runs on Linux, Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS X &amp; iPhone OS.
